Samaritans is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to provide emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which lead to suicide. Open to all age groups and backgrounds, nationwide.

Samaritans also offer talks to staff groups about their work and can provide free leaflets.  They hold information sessions for those interested in volunteering with them. Their webchat is a pilot service, estimated wait time: 20-30 minutes. Their email response time is 24 hours. Drop-in sessions are available at their Sheffield office between 10am – 8pm. Please wait a few minutes after knocking as they may be on the phone. If possible, call before you visit to make sure someone is available on 0114 276 7277.
